The Peking University China Center for Economic Research (CCER) was founded in August 1994. It is an academic institution with the purpose of combining research, teaching and training in one setting. In 2004, the CCER was chosen as one of the Hundred Key Schools in Humanities and Social Sciences by the Ministry of Education. The CCER is a new experiment at Peking University in its attempt to reform the current system of teaching and research, as well as an experiment in bringing Chinese scholars back home from abroad. Our goal is to bring together an outstanding group of young scholars of economics and management who will make a contribution to Peking University’s teaching and research, and to China’s economic reform and development as well as contemporary economics and management theory.
