CES held first session at the Canadian Economics Association, Calgary

On June 9, 2012, the Chinese Economists Society held its first session at the Canadian Economics Association's annual conference at Calgary, Alberta. The title of the session was "Growth and Well-being of the Chinese Economy". The session was chaired by the CES president Prof. Ding Lu of University of the Fraser Valley. Prof. Tony Fang (York University) presented "The Determinants of Outward FDI by Chinese Firms: Evidence from Longitudinal Firm-level Data"; Dr. Qingyan Shang (SUNY at Buffalo) presented "Individual Well-being and Expected Future Income: Evidence from Urban China"; and Dr. Jian Zhang (Temple University) presented "Political Connection and Corporate Fraud: Evidence From China".
