Call for Papers: 2025 Chinese Economist Society(CES) Academic Rising Star Paper Competition
The Chinese Economist Society (CES) proudly announces its inaugural Academic Rising Star Paper Competition, hosted by Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) School of Economics in Beijing on July 3, 2025. As a key event of the 2025 CES Dean’s Forum, this competition is jointly organized by CUFE School of Economics, CES, and the Young Economist Society (YES).
This initiative aims to discover and develop future economics leaders by encouraging young researchers to explore pressing global economic challenges using creative solutions and solid research methods. Selected participants will present their findings and exchange ideas with top economists worldwide during the event.
We welcome undergraduate and high school students globally to submit their original research papers to this groundbreaking program!

III. Eligibility and Theme:
Undergraduate and high school students demonstrating passion and potential in economic research are invited to participate. We welcome submissions in economics, management, and related fields, with manuscripts required to be submitted exclusively in English.
IV. Competition Schedule:
1. By 24:00 on June 1, 2025: Submit papers and register by sending them to the organizing committee's email.
2. From June 2 to June 8, 2025: The review committee will evaluate submissions and select papers for on-site presentations.
3. On June 9, 2025: Announce the list of papers selected for on-site presentations.
4. Late June 2025: Prepare materials for on-site presentations (e.g., PPTs).
5. By 24:00 on July 1, 2025: Submit PPTs for on-site presentations to the competition's dedicated email.
6. On July 3, 2025: On-site presentations and award-winning paper selection.
V. Paper Evaluation:
1. The organizer will form a review committee of experts to evaluate all submissions and select those for on-site presentations.
2. The committee will assess and select outstanding papers based on expert feedback and discussions during the presentations. There will be 2 first-prize, 3 second-prize, and several third-prize papers, with certificates awarded to encourage participants.
VI. Paper Requirements:
1. Each participant may submit only one English original essay. Papers should follow the American Economic Review format. They must be original, unpublished, and within 10,000 words.
2. Submissions must include an Excel document (with title, author name, JEL codes, keywords, and abstract) and a PDF of the complete paper, sent to the organizing committee's email: cespaper2025@163.com. The deadline is June 1, 2025 (based on email receipt time).
3. Email naming format: "Group-School-Author Name-Paper Title", e.g., "Undergraduate-XXX University-XXX-XXX" or "High School Student-XXX High School-XXX-XXX".
4. The first author must meet all these conditions:
a. Currently an undergraduate or high school student.
b. Responsible for most of the research and writing.
c. The paper is unpublished and not accepted or planned for publication elsewhere.

1. Result Announcement:
Paper selection results and formal attendance notices will be announced in June 2025 on the CES website, official WeChat account, CUFE School of Economics website, and official WeChat account.
