The Special Issue accepts research on all areas of economics and finance, especially technology-driven growth and the Chinese economy. Submissions are invited from the 2026 CES North American and CES China Conferences.

China Economic Review (CER) will publish a special issue following the 2026 Chinese Economists Society (CES) North American Conference (Atlanta, USA) held in Emory University and the 2026 CES China Conference (Chengdu, China) at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, with the title “Technology-driven Growth in a Changing Global Economy”.
We invite high-quality theoretical, empirical, and quantitative research on technology and global economic transformation. Topics should be on technological innovation and its interactions with economic growth and development, financial systems, industrial transformation, labor markets, international trade, environmental sustainability, and public policy. And research should be related to China, including studies that place China’s experience in a broader international or comparative perspective. Submissions are open to papers presented at either the 2026 CES North American Conference or the 2026 CES China Conference.
All manuscripts must be original, unpublished work and must be submitted in English.
