The School of Finance and the Institute of Chinese Financial Studies at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE) are seeking several tenure-track Assistant, Associate or Full Professors in Finance/Economics to join our esteemed faculty team. We welcome applicants (scholars or outstanding Ph.D. students) with the following fields of specialization: macro finance (including central banking and monetary policy, financial regulation), digital economy and financial/insurance technology, financial engineering, actuarial, insurance, commercial banking, machine learning, big data analysis, international finance (including cross-border finance), wealth management, financial risk management, credit management, financial security, securities market and investment.
Job Qualifications
A successful candidate should possess:
1.A Ph.D. degree (obtained or expected in 2025) in Finance (including Insurance) or Economics from an accredited institution;
2.Impressive publication record and teaching experience or great potential for outstanding research and excellent teaching;
3.Commitment to academic excellence.
Applicants’ prior teaching and research experience will be highly valued. We particularly welcome applicants with experiences of leading research projects and a close network of academic counterparts.
Responsibilities
The primary roles and responsibilities of the positions include:
1.Conducting high-quality research and publishing in accredited finance/economics journals;
2.Teaching undergraduate and graduate finance/economics courses;
3.Advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students;
4.Contributing to the intellectual and research community of the school and institute through active participation in academic activities and initiatives.
