The School of Economics (SOE) at Hefei University of Technology, established in 2011, has evolved into a dynamic academic institution. The school currently hosts 121 faculty members, including 97 full-time teachers, with 21 full professors and 42 associate professors. Our faculty members have received their education from prestigious institutions both domestically and internationally, including Renmin University of China, University of Science and Technology of China, Nanjing University, Wuhan University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and the University of Western Australia.
The school occupies a 5,000-square-meter facility housing both academic and administrative functions. Our academic structure comprises four departments: Department of Economics, Department of International Economics and Trade, Department of Financial Engineering, and Department of Economics and Trade (Xuancheng Campus).
Additionally, we maintain five specialized educational support centers: International Education Center (IEC), Experimental Teaching Center, Master of Finance Education Center, Academic Exchange Center, and School-Enterprise Cooperative Education Center. The school currently serves a diverse student body of 2,001 students, including 1,644 undergraduates, 356 graduate students, and 1 international student.
Our research activities are conducted through seven specialized research institutes: Institute of Digital Economy and Innovation, Institute of Economic Development, Institute of Finance, Institute of Industrial Economics, Institute of Innovative Economics, Institute of International Trade and Investment, Institute of Quantitative Economics, and Institute of Regional Economics.
The school has demonstrated strong research productivity, with faculty members publishing over 100 high-impact papers in leading academic journals. These publications appear in prestigious domestic journals such as Economic Research Journal, Management World, Journal of World Economy, and China Economic Quarterly, as well as internationally recognized journals including China Economic Review, Environmental and Resource Economics, Operations Research, Technovation, and Transportation Policy.
The School of Economics is currently undertaking an ambitious expansion plan to recruit up to 10 full-time faculty members. We welcome applications for positions at all academic ranks (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Full Professor) in various fields, including but not limited to: Finance, Data Science, Trade, Econometrics, Economic Statistics, Information Economics, Industrial Organization, and Regional Economics.
